The Happening

''Buyers'' the word might be eye catching for a lot of professionals dealing in the manufacturing industry. For a manufacturing company it is crucially important to have regular buyers , as it is important for the sustainable demand of the goods that they produce in their factories. But still the term ''Buyer'' is often misused to translate a highly qualified happening that is itself called a ''Buyer''.

I used the word happening for the term buyer, as I consider it a momentary conformance to a lot of factors, and an absence of any or more of those factors could change the interest of a seller to a ''Buyer''.

I would explain it with a personal experience , Being associated with Denim/Jeans development for years I came across with different interesting experiences, including the ones that I had with my buyers.Some days back started communicating with a lead who was willing to procure branded goods in a large quantity.Due to the quantity our company was interested to get in close contact with the buyer.What was supposed to be an inquiry of a medium size garment order, turned out to be an inquiry of a good volume ,when the buyer shared his business dimensions properly.

The buyer was from Australia and was willing to procure 30,000+pcs of a famous Denim brand.We get excited for the deal as the buyer directly plunged into the inquiry details, which was very unusual.Further discussions and email conversations revealed other businesses the buyer was involved in.The deal was proceeding in the right direction with a good pace when suddenly I asked a confirmation that was supposed to be just a formality in deals of such stature.

Me : '' You must have the original distribution certificate of distribution from L*****,... ''

Buyer : '' No, we don't ''

the very next moment,..

Buyer:''But we can clear the goods, if you send us to our destination ports''

Me:''Oh, uhhhh,..ok, mmm,..ok i will get back to you on email.''

This was what we were least expecting it to be.The buyer was genuine, he was interested to pay, he had a good quantity but due to our compliance to international standards, we were abide not to sold branded products to unauthentic dealers.The buyer was asking for a product that we could manufacture easily, a simple product indeed unlike the trendy floral print jeans, or floral skinny jeans, but still due to just one factor we couldn't cater the order.

The same buyer could be use full for a company that is has nothing to do with compliance. I hope the reader would agree with the term that I used in the very start of the article ''qualified  happening'' .
